Morvelo Riders

Every time I dig deeper into Morvelo and what they stand/live for I’m continually knocked off my feet.  The love of riding oozes from their web page.  Santa knows to bring me a couple of their sweet Jerseys.

From Team page:

“Bicycles cover a wide spectrum. The people who love to ride them an even wider one.
When searching for who we wanted to be the Morvelo Test Team, there was one common factor we looked for. The enjoyment of thrashing the hell out of two wheels.”

I’m a fan of Oli Pepper.  You can read more about him at his blog

What Can’t The Yalta Carry

The Chrome Yalta (mine is the bad ass FTC model) will carry more than you think.

Items in bag:

Beanie, lock, helmet, Texas Pete hot sauce, Empire DVD, Front/Rear Light, Tuna Can, Can opener, 2 Apples, iPad (with TRAFIK’s To Live & Ride in L.A. on it), Winter Gloves, Jeans, 2 Jackets, 2 long sleeve shirts, cycling shoes, Vans, socks, and thermal pant lining.

Weekend Ride

Had a great weekend.  Got a lot of time in on the rollers.  I rode a little over 40 miles Sunday at an average 18 mph.  I’m getting faster!!  Not the best, but good for me.  I also switched to the SHC Cobb Saddle which has been amazing.  You can pick one up at Blevins Bicycle Co. (Support Local)

From a bike shop in Dallas.  Kyle Steed sent it my way!

100 Miles to Nowhere

“I swear on Bob Dylan’s belt buckle”

This video is awesome!  I do a couple hours on the rollers and I’m done!  Not this lady “I always imagined my first century ride would be somewhere scenic. And with other riders.  But the challenge of this century – the 100 Miles of Nowhere – is that it has to be on rollers, your trainer, or the smallest route possible. I chose rollers.” [vimeo 4814321 w=400 h=225]
