Dave’s Wear House

Dave’s Wear House from Folly on Vimeo.

Let me start by saying that I am no videographer!  I wasn’t even planning on doing a video interview, but Dave was hitting home with some truth and I wanted to spread the word.

Kris over at Chrome told me that I definitely needed to check out Dave and his shop.  So I cruised on down there on my Cab board and was immediately welcomed by Dave!  This dude was so refreshing to meet.  His mentality on riding is completely on point.  No propaganda or gimmicky pitches when you go in his shop. He sells solid products at a great price!  It’s the little extra touch and the lack of “moneymoneymoney” mentality that made me appreciate what he is putting out!  On top of that, hes got a really sweet set up of bikes, boards, clothing, bags, and accessories!  Dave’s Wear House has a super chill vibe, and people that will definitely take care of you.  Cheers Dave!  Very well done!!

Affinity Cycles

Obviously I had to go check out Affinity Cycles and the Mishka frame while I was in Brooklyn!  To see the Mishka frame in person give you a whole new appreciation for the craftsmanship that went into making it!  This piece of art is ridiculous!  Sucker is bomb proof! All of the fine details are very impressive.  Along with the Mishka beauty displayed in the front of the shop, there were other sweet machines lingering around!  My jaw dropped when I first walked in.  So many amazing track, fixed, single speed bikes for a really good price!  I wanted to pick up several!  I highly recommend checking out Affinity Cycles!!

Visit To 718 Cyclery

The biking community in NYC is closer than any I’ve ever seen.  718 Cyclery is no exception!  These guys definitely set the standard!  It was very nice meeting everyone and get to explore the shop a little, as well as check out Krys’s shop art.  73% raised to support Krys and her recovery by the way!  Get well soon Krys!

718 Cyclery has a great selection of… well, everything!  The store front is like walking into an art studio with a big shop in the background where the magic happens!  The feel is very chill and inviting!  You’ll find everything from super high end custom builds to the “Swamp Thing/Living Dead” bike that will continue to be investigated to determine a possible restoration project!  All in all, you won’t be disappointed when you go into 718 Cyclery.  You’ll be welcomed and soon feel like part of the family!  Cheers 718!  Can’t wait to visit you guys again!

Chrome Family

The last 6 days I spent in NYC were so sick!  Out of those 6 days, 5 were spend chilling with the Chrome NYC crew, drinking a few beers and telling stories!  On top of that, they hooked me up with some really good info on companies rocking the Ride x Create Vibe around the city!  Chrome knows their shit!  Everybody that is in the family is on the same level!  Ride x Create Vibes flow deep with Chrome!  They have represented themselves very well!  Good job sirs and sirs’es!  Cheers!!  Looking forward to the next encounter!
