Real Eyes Interviews Dustin Klein

“Cadence brought together everything I was interested in: biking, design, photography, and just constant creating.” – Dustin Klein via Real Eyes

Katrina Tan conducted a very good interview of DKlein.  It’s motivating to see where Dustin started and where he is today.  It all starts with an idea and a creative approach to that idea.  Not every idea will pan out but that’s part of the fun and process ideas go through.  I used to think that every creative idea I had was supposed to be successful.  This held me back from even starting some stuff because I was afraid of “failure”… failure from who, myself?  Through examples of co-founder Kyle Steed and other intelligent creative people like Dustin Klein, that mold has been broken.  Create freely, “I don’t really think about what I want it to come out like.  It’s more of free-making or doing whatever feels right.” – Dustin Klein via Real Eyes

Very beautiful perspective from Mr. Templeton.  To keep that curious and creative aspect is very unique when surrounded by some of the skateboard lifestyle’s Ed has been involved in.  This year has already had a couple Ed Templeton interviews, and I’m sure I haven’t seen all of them.  I’m tagging this one as my favorite!  Thanks for the inspiration Ed!  Ride x Create

This Sums It Up

gif makerThis pretty much sums up my weekend hanging with my good buddy and co founder, Kyle Steed.  We enjoyed really good food, booze, and riding on his 30th birthday weekend!!  We also did a good bit of brain storming (not shown in this picture) on some new ideas for Folly.  I’m looking forward to making those ideas reality.  Ride x Create!
