Matt Lingo Visits Portland

Damian by Matt

It seems like right after I leave Portland everyone is visiting that great city! Matt Lingo had the opportunity to go and shoot for Chrome Industries and Leader all in one trip (best trip status). With all that greatness happening, photo bro love between Matt and Damian Riehl happened… but I’ll let you read about that for yourself.

The reason I bring up good ol’ Damian is right before I went out with Aaron Edge and Joshua Bryant on our ride of the 11 Portland bridges… I ran into Damian at Stumptown. Aaron informed me that Damian was a messenger and very rad photographer. So my initial thought was… ‘SWEET! I want to meet that dude’ .  Super nice and genuine fella!  Hopefully next trip to the great NW will incorporate a ride with him.

Anyways… Mr. Lingo is always bringing the heat with super solid photos! Go check out the recap of Matt’s trip. It brought back good memories.  This shot was my favorite of the bunch.

The Beauty of Peddling

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

I had a short minute to throw up a post on this beautiful Veterans Day (big THANK YOU for all that have/are served/ing).

I rode yesterday at the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge where FOLLYCROSS was held. It was so peaceful to ride all the different terrain Wheeler offers and take in the sun setting on the bank of the river… it was perfect! I want to remind you to stop and take it all in from time to time. “It” is all the outside beauty you pass along the way because you want to beat that Strava segment.  I’m not saying it’s bad to push yourself or beat your pals KOM… I’m just saying it doesn’t always have to be about that. Peddling opens my mind and body to experience life in a way you won’t if you’re not on two wheels.  I hope you do just that today wherever you are.

Cheers to good times folks!  Ride x Create

Help Chris Igleheart

Igleheart

Photo by someone rad… not me.

I had the absolute please of hanging and drinking a few beers with Chris Igleheart a couple weeks ago in Portland. You can feel a true creative, positive, progressive and pioneering vibe surrounding Chris.  He was struck by a motor vehicle riding home the other day and has been slammed with a lot of medical bills.  If you’re available to do so, please contribute to help this man get back on his feet and cover these bills. I know he’s thankful for your love and support.
