Boreas Gear x MASH

Boreas x Mash1Boreas x MashSFI got introduced to Boreas about a year ago and immediately fell in love with their products. Boreas puts a super rad mix of style and function into their gear that I really dig… which is why I’m not surprised at all to see MASH hooking up a collaboration with them.

Boreas MASH Race Day Back Pack 50 Liter

“This is the bag that brought us to Boreas. The 50 Liter backpack is the perfect large backpack travel, and race day. We are been traveling with this bag for two years now, flights, commutes, and home base at the races. It functions as a large duffle, with stapes that stow away. Like all of the Boreas designs, it is constructed with modern materials, leaving you with a massive compartment  that weighs two pounds. The bag is built with a durable face that you can stand in while changing in and out of a kit. This was incredibly helpful at the Red Hook Criteriums, and cyclocross events. The bag is designed with a built in laundry bag that can be tucked away, or grow with you, separating the main compartment to a dirty and clean side. The straps and back support are flexible, and breathable synthetic, that dries quickly. The bag has our Parallax print in a subdued tonal finish, with team logos printed in white reflective transfers. We hope you can tell just how passionate we are about this high functioning object!”

Boreas MASH Larkin Day Backpack

“We chose to work with local bag maker Boreas for their ability to create technical equipment, that functions on and off the bike. The Larkin backpack is the perfect light weight day bag. Flyweight fabrics, water resistant, laptop sleeve for 15in machine, top entry pocket for small objects, full reflective tonal printed face, compression straps, breathable back and straps, all in a small high functioning bag. Black, Cyan Blue, and light Gray, with reflective Parallax print.”
Go to MASH and check out more on these sweet bags! Great job MASH x Boreas!! Always nailing it!

Review // JBL Charge

imageimageThis heavy hitting speaker nails it on several levels. It’s bluetooth, loud, has a 12 hour battery life, and the capability to charge USB devices.

The JBL Charge is solid for longer rides or bike packing trips. I don’t like to drown out my surroundings with tunes on long rides… rather listen to the wind and nature that I’m cycling in. The Charge works best for me when I get to the camp site or party spots that my not have jamz yet would like too, all while making sure you phone stays well charged. With that said, this sucker will blast tunes very well as you smash the streets. It will definitely help you keep the stoke!

Go to JBL Audio and check out more info on the Charge. It will easily fit in you bottle cage, blast jamz, and keep you powered up for many hours.

NYCGSCTo be quite honest… I can’t wrap my head around a journey like this. Mind blowing.

It is not a specific event, but the entire journey that makes me happy. Not only do I miss the open road, the amazing descents, and friendships along the way, but also have grown to miss each and every climb, thunderstorm, and all 23 long days. The simplicity of riding day after day brings unparalleled bliss, everything else falls from your mind, and you are able to connect with the beauty that surrounds.” – Joseph Henry Holway

Make sure to join in on the celebration at Golden Saddle Cyclery tonight. This will be good.
