Kyle says it best himself:

“I continue to struggle with creating stuff for my own personal brands. The things I see in client work that I love, the little quirks and stuff, is what drives me nuts in my own personal work. I feel like nothing less than perfect will suffice. But it’s in the practice that will eventually make me better, not perfect. I have to let go of perfection. It’s an illusion… The moment you put something you made out there, even if you continue to see flaws in it, at least you did it. You made something and put it out there. That takes guts.”

Cheers to you sir!  You inspire us all with your honesty, guts, and above all… level of creativity! Ride x Create

Make sure to check out Steedagrams.  You wont be disappointed. The very limited prints you will buy and love will be above amazing!

Folly Nash Trip

If you follow our Instagram (@createfolly) then you already know all about the sweet Nashville trip that took place on Saturday.  Below is a little insight to the adventure that took place.

Couldn’t have started the day any better than with some amazing coffee, chill tunes and putting several orders together for Folly friends local and afar.

Got out to Nashville about 2:30 with epic heat baking us from the moment Chase, Conner, Matt and I set foot out of the car.  On the upside of things, there wasn’t a lot of people out so we had full run of the park.  Low and behold, I find one of our Folly “High 4 1/2” stickers successfully stuck.  Obviously I was pumped about that and proceeded to thrash!  Nashville got some Folly love!!

We got some good footage at the park then head to the local watering hole (aka Mapco) to grab up some liquid refreshment.  Matt couldn’t find his wallet, so all the boards had to go so we could sift through the mound of bags we had.

One of the ice cold refreshments just so happened to be placed in this brown paper sack.  I’ll refer to it as the “mystery beverage”.  It was refreshing to say the least.

After the watering hole, we head up to Sixth Ave to pick up some of our Folly friends to thrash downtown Nashville.  While we were waiting for a spot to clear up, a little Chrome Yalta mini sesh took place.  Muchos funos.  Where we wanted to skate never cleared up so we headed out to a local taco restauranta.

And here we have good ol’ Conner Warhurst (aka Cornhole Wallburst).  This dude not only is rocking the Ride x Create vibe, he’s a damn fine videographer!  He had a wicked heal bruise, so no skating for him unfortunately.  As I’m sure you know, being around a lot of sweet spots and not being able to partake in the action sucks.  Conner had a good spirit about it and dominated some sweet footage all day. Well done sir!

Chase getting cray on this stair set.  Chase, Matt, and other Folly friends we picked up along the way were dominating this spot.  Footage to come later.

This would be Christian.  Unbeknownst to me, he was super hesitant to hit this rail even though he could totally kill it.  He wasn’t feeling it and complained about his height being an issue.  Solution… auto stretching procedures commenced.

Case in point, Christian dominates.  Lipslide FTW! (don’t know who took this photo.  It’s on Christian’s FB page.)

A good bit of other shenanigans took place throughout the day.  We ended up back at the park we started at to get a couple more lines in with the “cool” night air.  Matt and I enjoyed more “mystery beverage” and reminisced about what an epic day it was.

Empire Skate – Episode 1 from Capture.Share.Repeat. on Vimeo.

I know we promote a lot of pro skating, BMX, FGFS and riding in general; but at the end of the day it’s all about feeling the Ride x Create vibe. Empire Skate has a chill vibe that I dig.  Well done Mr. Evearitt and Mr. Jacobs!!  I’m looking forward to following the Empire Skate series.  Go ride the city, town, rural area and create something today Folly friends.

“For the love of skateboarding! “Empire Skate” series combines our love of skating and filming while getting exploring the greater NYC area in search of concrete delights. For our first episode we hop off at Chinatown to hit up the new LES Skatepark then took it to the streets down by the waterfront. We hope to expand on this series with new spots, skaters, and events.” -Greg J

The Chrome Delta x District by Ed Wonka

The Delta

The District

Here’s two fresh bags from Chrome designed by Ed Wonka himself!  The Delta and District offer their own unique take on what is needed when you thrash the streets.  They have solid organizational pockets that are easily accessible on the go.  The “throw and go” style Ed presents with the wide mouth opening is great when you are moving from one spot to the next.  Both bags have a wide mouth opening that will hold a 12 pack of your favorite ice cold, refreshingly excellent, motivational street thrashing, and liquid pain killing fun cans.  I’m not saying that it’s the most important feature in a bag, but it definitely is a requirement for us here at Folly.

Chrome says it best themselves:

Chrome Fixed Free Series – Delta and District

Chrome Industries is proud to introduce the new Fixed Free series that hits stores and online today. The Delta and District are a perfect fit into the Chrome line with their big mouths that are great hauling twelve packs to 3 ring binders. Compression strap expands 50%. Integrated pockets for laptop, iPad and phone. Both bags are made from 600 Denier weight Cordura grade nylon with a special TPU coating, commonly used on Military bags and tents for its abrasion resistance and high tenacity.”

Make sure to head over to Chrome to grab up one of these dope bags for yourself.  At a price point of $110, you should definitely pick these suckers up!! Ride x Create my friends.

Here’s a little promo vid from Wonka using the Delta as he thrashes the streets!
