The Power of B Squad

Processed with VSCOcam with c9 preset“I’m sick of being on B Squad.

Listen, you may be on B Squad, but you’re the B Squad Leader!”

Yup… this weekend was one for the books (or blogs rather). When we three get together fairy dust falls from the sky, the Narnian pathways open there gates, and we live a lifetime of excellence where time stands still, the Angels blow their horns, birds land on our shoulders, and we whistle a happy tune through the rainbow field of butter cups and dandy lions to the land of Excalibur and beyond.

Here is a photo recap starting and finishing in Nashville, TN. I hope you enjoy.

Make sure to go check out Kyle Steed‘s and Brenton Little‘s IG for other rad shots from this bro get away sesh.

Paul Component // Limited Edition 12×197 Fatbike RHUB

discRHUBthru12x197-26Say it loud… I’M FAT AND I’M PROUD!!

“Offered in a very small quantity,  the 12×197 Fatbike RHUB is equipped with the SRAM XD driver for huge gear ratios, and all feature an Industry Nine ratchet combined with our well recognized guts and shell. This model will is available in a thirty two hole configuration and 12mm thru axle only.

The 12×197 RHUB is easily serviceable, quality made in the US and durable enough for long rides in the worst conditions. We use our system of adjustable bearing preload to keep things rolling smoothly. This hub is designed with no end caps that rely on QR pressure for bearing adjustment, in doing this we isolate the bearings from all forces from the dropouts. All parts are hand built in house in Northern California, except the excellent Enduro bearings, which are sourced with an extra grease fill ratio. The axle is made from super strong 7075 aluminum, and the shell is made from 6061.”

Go to Paul Component Engineering and check these suckers!

Unrelated to the product above… I also wanted to share this first Paul Comp. video in a series showing you fine folks some of the ways in which you can utilize Paul Component’s on your speed machines. Enjoy!

Review // DZR Mechanic

imageI’m really amped on these! In my humble opinion… these are the best DZR kicks created to date. Simple functional design that delivers.

The DZR Mechanic’s are a little bit narrow but not without room for play. ‘How is that’? The material used is super compliant but not lacking stiffness in the areas you’re going to pull/push on with each peddle stroke. I have a fatter foot but love the narrower feel of these shoes. As you know, when you wear and tear into new shoes there is that fun (Editors Note: There is an F U in fun) break in period. These simply don’t have that issue. Riding is amazing. Walking is amazing. These are amazing.

The only riding I’ve had with the DZR Mechanic’s to date are for morning coffee outside rides. I expected to be annoyed by new clip in sneakers but honestly forgot I was wearing them as I captured photos for other rad things happening. Extremely solid and comfortable shoes.

Head to DZR and check out the Mechanic. If you are in the market for some of the best clippable sneakers created to date then these should be your pick.
