Towards the end of the race, beers were handed freely to any pro that would except such gift.  It was reminiscent of a ball park with sideline viewers yelling “Ice cold refreshing beer, get your beer here” as they offered them up.

And away they rode. Fast, very fast!

Mr. Yarbrough was kind enough to waste a shot capturing me as I watched the fast peddlers pedal onward and upward.

“Instagram Is” with Kyle x Brenton

“Use a picture. It’s worth a thousand words.” – Arthur Brisbane (1911)

I love that Kyle and Brenton are featured in this!

I’m sure some folk may watch this and think… “silly hipsters”; but lets look at a couple fun facts.  FOLLY started from Kyle and I’s love of riding and creating with the understanding that folks that ride tend to also create.  Some hesitate due to fear of failure, or accept the limitation they’ve placed on them self; and we are here to encourage to push past that; to ride more and create something the world has never seen.

Instagram has allowed us to show you what we see and where we are going.  We spread the ride x create vibe around the globe daily, in the hope that we’ve helped you to take the next creative step, or that extra mile, or hit that new trick you’ve hesitated committing to landing.  Instagram has allowed us to connect with all you fine folks, and get WAY motivated by you.  So… yes, you can view Instagram as just another app and not read into it this deep. No shame in that at all, but… it also lends the opportunity to connect with you in a very rad way, and I genuinely dig that.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you for motivating us.

THIS!

“On Saturday 18 May 2013, Converse took over a disused section of the Port of Barcelona to create the first CONS SPACE, an initiative to transform disused urban space through skateboarding, art and music. Kenny Anderson and Pontus Alv collaborated with local artists Txemy Basuelto, Fernando Elvira and Ruben Sanchez to design a skate spot inspired by the abandoned industrial materials and incredible location. They were joined by Rune Glifberg, Tom Remillard, Remy Taviera, Javier Mendizabal, Jerome Campbell, Harry Lintell, Danny Sommerfeld and Ben Raemers for an epic all day session. CONS SPACE 001 BCN wrapped up with live music from The Bots and Black Lips.” – Converse

USA Cycling National Championship Recap

Well… my recap anyways.

Obviously I dig pro cycling, but I’m not super knowledgeable in the stats.

Couldn’t have asked for better weather to cruise the great city of Chattanooga, TN for the 2013 Volkswagen USA Cycling Professional Road & Time Trial Championships.

Chat BridgeTook a while to get in a solid spot on the mountain where there was miles and miles of very up’ed UPNESS viewing.  Once we got front row seats to watch these hill climb crushing monsters, are afternoon was set. Seats were sat and beers were opened.

usproSnapped a few shots here and there and enjoyed watching these guys kill it!

uspro'inParty Jammin!

“Freddie Rodriguez celebrates his fourth national title along with silver medalist Brent Bookwalter and bronze medalist Kiel Reijnen” – Bill Kellick

uspro'edAfter all these shenanigans, we headed to a local pub; ate, drank and retired for the evening.

Had a great time.  If you’ve never been to a pro race… I highly recommend doing so. Promise you’ll have a blast!
