Hopefully you’ve been keeping up with Kyle (@kylesteed), Brenton (@brenton_clarke) and my (@createfolly) Instagram feed last week to catch all the amazingly chill ride x create vibes.  I went through a little blog detox, and as I’m sure you can imagine… I’ve been itching to let all of you in on what’s happening in the creative world of Folly.

I start with the last photo taken and work my way back.  Kyle is one of those guys that you look at and get inspiration.  I have no other way to describe it other than… when it hits you, don’t hesitate to act on it.  Living life with a positive mental attitude, creative output, and solid work ethic is a life well lived.  It’s how we do it here at Folly and Kyle plays a big role in that.

As I’m sure you know, we got in some sick Chome bags a couple weeks ago.  We don’t play around when we get products in to test and review.  They are put to the test in all environments we are involved in.  Sun, sand, surf, skate, and bike are most definitely a part of those environments. Case and point… the Chrome Delta x District did there jobs very well.

Big purple walls for the win. We hooked up in this cool little community called Seaside and dominated a few taco’s and brewskies!  Keep an eye on Central Square Records.  They are a dope record store with sick cruisers and all things custom/hand-made.  Hopefully we will be getting some of our apparel and boards their way soon.

And here we have Mr. Brenton Little.  Supper chill dude with some amazing ideas and expressed love for Folly!  It was a blast cruisin the beach via bike and board with this dude!  We cruised down to a local watering hole and enjoyed some locally brewed double IPA’s.  Low and behold… some crazy toothless guy rolls up with and old sea divers helmet.  Brenton looks at me and says “this is happening”; and here you have it!  This thing was super heavy.  You can’t really tell from here but Brenton was straight shruggin his shoulders to hold this sucker up.

Brenton captured a couple sweet action shots as we cruised the beach.  There’s nothing better than exploring beautiful landscapes via bike or board then enjoying some custom brew; it does my heart good.

When we got to our beach house it hit me… we’ve got a crap load of Chrome bags, 4 total!  This photo by SteedZ captures the bare essentials we rock when we ride.  A few Modelo Especial brewskies, dope Chrome bag/hat and our brand new Folly Fun Deck!

The last week was amazing!  The purpose of the trip wasn’t specifically Folly focused but did present a lot of creativity; which totally encompassed our Ride x Create vibe we spread around the world.

All photo’s were taken with iPhones; some doctored some not.  The reason I bring this up is to let anyone out there who is interested in photography know, that it doesn’t take a high dollar camera or a super complicated process to take quality photos.  I’ve learned this very valuable lesson from Kyle Steed throughout his years of photographical experience.  Obviously there is nothing wrong with high dollar equipment or exploring the complexities of photography.  Just trying to motivate potentially amazing photographers out there to develop perspective by whatever camera means necessary.  Ride x Create Folly Friends!

Heads up!  An amazing thing is going down the next 8 days. Folly, in its entirety (aka Kyle and I), is meeting up in Destin, Florida for a sick Ride x Create sesh.  No agenda is set, no expectation presented… just chill ride x create vibes with several close friends will fill Kyle and I’s spirits.  I post this to let you know that there will be little if any blog updates the week to come.  I encourage you to keep a close eye on our Instagram (@createfolly) for updates on some sick company’s we have the pleasure of testing and reviewing!!  I hope all is well Folly Friends… do something epic this weekend!

Here we have a very limited run of 30 custom skateboard decks designed by our great Kyle Steed.  They are made in the USA, cut to 8.125″ and ready to rip the streets in style!  Skate this deck like any other or hang it on the wall as a piece of art.  Your call Folly Friends.  All I know is that you will be completely filled with the Ride x Create Vibe in whatever facet you utilize this custom piece of art.  Get pumped… we most definitely are!

So jealous of my London homies!  If you’re in the area you should definitely check out Cadence’s Collection x Installation! DKlein’s long arm of creativity has captured a world wide audience via the interweb x tangible placement of goods!  Aug. 18th – 31st the London community will get to experience Dustin’s apparel and art first hand.  Be inspired, get motivated, ride x create.

Mr. Jesse Carmody coming through with some of his signature, ice brewed coffee, PUMP!!  Can’t thank him enough for risking the shipment to BAMA for my tasting pleasure!  Get hyped! I have a feeling this is the start of something amazing… and rightfully so.  Solid quality summertime ice cold caffeinated beverages to make you push to the next level via cycling, skating, or just plain ol’ creating!  Make it happen lady’s and sirs!

If you are in or around the Golden Saddle area, make sure to dig on PUMP or “extra-strength PUMP!”  This will be happening soon via GSC, so keep a close eye to the happenings over at Golden Saddle!!  Ride x Create my friends!!

Dustin Klein is a big inspiration to me.  This short statement (via instagram @dkleincadence) from Dustin shows his passion and commitment to spreading his creative vibe.  There are plenty of times when I meet with KSteed and express what I want to do, but don’t know how to get there.  “Don’t wait for anyone”; don’t wait to be told how to spread your creative vibe to the world.  Identify the road blocks… then precede to crush them with knowledge and passion.  Kyle and I have different roles here at Folly but our passion and commitment are most definitely the same. Fight that urge to do nothing with your creativity Folly friends.  Let if flow freely and make something the world has never seen.  Ride x Create

Monday chill vibes are greatly welcomed

Thanks to good ol’ Anit-Hero and Terrible One, we here at Folly can enjoy a “Coke” tall boy in most any environment.  “Does Coke make a tall boy”… Sure they do! “Are you drinking beer around children”… NO, that would be irresponsible.  “Where can I buy some Coke tall boys”… They have a limited NASCAR coke tall boy series at Wal-Mart.  Check out the finished product below.
