“British Waterways commissioned the artwork in response to cyclists riding carelessly.”
It’s funny that they are using Art as a visual speed bump.

True Love Always from stimul on Vimeo.
Dave Hall is the newest member to the Leader team. This dude is ridiculously fast!! Furthermore, this video make me want to drink the darkest beer I can find, wear a freshly woven Scottish wool sweater, and sing till the wee hours of the mornin about the history of our ancestors! (all stereotypes, and I hope they are true). VERY well put together video! Good job Angus Sung!!
Here is what Leader has to say about Dave:
Dave Hall of The 5th Floor along with Angus Sung have been busy lately as you see. First off, let me welcome Dave to the Leader Bike Team! You’re family now. Dave rides the Classic Leader 722 and will be riding on the Heritage Edition when it drops in early 2012. Man, that dude can spin those legs! Angus, brilliant work, we love the filming/editing over here! You can call me back to Scotland anytime guys.

As I Google “Cycling Art” John Prolly pops up. Everytime I go and research new stuff, John’s already tackled it. I’ve never seen someone post so much legit quality stuff day in/day out. As a fresh blogger in pursuit of art, music, photography, all styles of riding, creating and anything that is created that inspires me; I continually stumble upon ProllyIsNotProbably.com. It is a hub for it all!
“3W: What lead you go beyond riding and start blogging, etc.?
JP: When I got laid off from my Architecture job back in March of 2010, no one was hiring and rather than driving myself mad, I just put that energy into my blog. I have become Prolly and there’s really nothing that can take that away. The bottom line is, I didn’t start the blog to “get stuff.” A lot of the new bloggers in the scene see my formula and emulate it. I get tons of emails from kids asking how to get what I’ve got and it’s not that simple. But people try, they mimic my voice, my positive attitude and my content. I’ll post something that I found on my own and 30+ blogs will post it minutes later, hardly ever crediting me as the source. It’s frustrating, but that’s the internet. I never really expected for the site to blow up and here I am, traveling all over, doing a range of bike journalism, working on products, and shooting photos almost as much as I’m riding.” –3RDWARD

Every time I dig deeper into Morvelo and what they stand/live for I’m continually knocked off my feet. The love of riding oozes from their web page. Santa knows to bring me a couple of their sweet Jerseys.
From Team page:
“Bicycles cover a wide spectrum. The people who love to ride them an even wider one.
When searching for who we wanted to be the Morvelo Test Team, there was one common factor we looked for. The enjoyment of thrashing the hell out of two wheels.”
I’m a fan of Oli Pepper. You can read more about him at his blog.
The Chrome Yalta (mine is the bad ass FTC model) will carry more than you think.
Items in bag:
Beanie, lock, helmet, Texas Pete hot sauce, Empire DVD, Front/Rear Light, Tuna Can, Can opener, 2 Apples, iPad (with TRAFIK’s To Live & Ride in L.A. on it), Winter Gloves, Jeans, 2 Jackets, 2 long sleeve shirts, cycling shoes, Vans, socks, and thermal pant lining.
Had a great weekend. Got a lot of time in on the rollers. I rode a little over 40 miles Sunday at an average 18 mph. I’m getting faster!! Not the best, but good for me. I also switched to the SHC Cobb Saddle which has been amazing. You can pick one up at Blevins Bicycle Co. (Support Local)
From a bike shop in Dallas. Kyle Steed sent it my way!
Kyle Steed introduced Mr. Murray’s art to me yesterday. Very cool stuff. My favorite by far is the PBR illustration. High quality prints are available for sale.
