These guys!  They are doing it right on every level.  Loose Nuts Cycles is one of those shops you walk into and feel like you’re already a part of the family.  The shop if filled with very rad wall hung rides that range from brand spanking new, to past builds that have been ridden well and now proudly on display for your viewing pleasure.  The sense of history, miles ridden, and stories to tell is oozing in this place!

I made a comment on Chris Tavel’s (shop owner) Salsa Warbird build via IG (@loosenutscycles) and a couple weeks later… here I am!  Chris and wife Laura hosted me in their home over the weekend with the best of accommodations, whisky, good home cooked food and great conversation!

Last weekend turned out to be a perfect time to visit. The Batdorf & Bronson Velodrome Cup went down Saturday night. A rad massive street closing called Atlanta Streets Alive was on Sunday! Bikes, boards and beers where flying everywhere.  Definitely my type of events all weekend long! Not to mention I got to hook up with Cogzilla Attacks and TwoToneATL!  Those guys are great!

If you are even remotely close to the Atlanta area, Loose Nuts Cycles is a must go to!  I promise if you bring beer you will be treated like a king (or queen).  High fives will be given, tears of joy will be had!

As I’m sure you’ve noticed, most of my rides are solo.  This isn’t for any specific reason. I love riding with folks; it pushes me to ride faster, longer. But, I also really enjoy riding by myself.  No set pace. Maybe I have a destination in mind, maybe not. Stop when you want and take photos of something that caught your eye, etc.  I dig the freedom of it.

Yup… this is muy muy bueno!  So much so, that you should attend!  If you’re in the area you will attend this! I hope. Because it will be cool. And I’m sure you wouldn’t want to miss out. It will be gnar. Promise…

Just got back from a solid 6 days in Florida.  I originally planned on taking more than one commuter snap to close the mondo Levi’s Bike Shop tour and the VSCO collab’O… but to be honest, we got to chill, laid in the sand and drank good drink!  Not a bad way to spend a vacation!

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day weekend and fun checking out our simple snaps for Levi’s x VSCO! 

Time to get back to the grind, ride via bike/board/feet, finalize some FOLLYCROSS details, pack and head out to Atlanta this weekend to hang with Loose Nuts Cycles.  During these outings I do a pretty horrible job updating the site.  I focus on the folks I’m with, then throw out a fun recap afterwards.  But, feel free to follow along on Instagram as I take a few snaps here and there.

I’ve been using the Abus Bordo Lite for the last couple weeks.  It has served me very well with its light weight and functionality. 

From grocery gettin to locking up your rides if you travel via motorized vehicle (like I just did down to Florida), it will hook you up. It’s super versatile and easy to use.
