Design Talk #3: The Story of Cuppow from Rough Water Films on Vimeo.

The cool part is how simple and functional this is.  Ride x Create vibes all day!  Some areas of starting a business take a lot of thinking… then thinking some more… then rethinking your thinking; but the idea can be very simple.  Cuppow is a primary example of that.

I encourage you fine FOLLY folks to be creative this weekend. Identify some simple needs you have, then create a solution to fill that need. Mr. Resnikoff and crew did, and look how cool that turned out. He made something the world has never seen and loving it!  Very motivating.

**Make sure to check them out via IG (@cuppow) for an inside look at their daily shenanigans! Cheers

Aaron Edge :: Ulterius Velocius Infinitatem

F3

I “meet” Aaron through the world wide web via IG (@Man_Of_Multnomah) a couple months ago.  I followed and was encouraged at how may miles via bike and foot this dude dominated regularly.  It was and is a huge encouragement for me personally to push my limits on the road as well as in the pursuit to Ride x Create.

“It was rare that I ran less than 10-13 miles at a time… I was riding well over a hundred miles a week.”

Nuts right? NOPE, not for Mr. Edge.

Sadly… Aaron was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis on March 6th of 2013.  “The last few weeks we haven’t featured an athlete of the week because we wanted to dedicate a period of time to share Aaron’s story” (Further Faster Forever); and that they have.

As I’m sure you could imagine, MS is not cheap to diagnose/treat in any way shape or form.  It takes a huge toll on the body as well as the wallet.  With that said, Aaron and the very rad Further Faster Forever crew have put together a way that YOU can support a dude that has motivated thousands of folks to push their limits #FurtherFasterForever.

F3:     “We are excited to announce the production of the limited edition F3 shirt that you designed to raise funds for your medical bills. How else can the F3 community help support you? A donation perhaps?

Aaron:     First of all, thank you for even considering something like this. Even if $5 dollars comes my way from the sale of these shirts, that’s an incredible help. As well as any additional help via donation, I must say this… if you really want to help me out, purchase a shirt. There are a few reasons:”

Find out those reasons when you finish reading this very personal in-depth interview F3 conducted.  Although he is living/going through this life changing shit… he is strong and will overcome the limitations MS presents; I have no doubt of that.

Also, feel free to show some love and #FurtherFasterForever on your IG posts along side with a good ol’ #fuMS!

For all you cyclocross hooligans… this is a really good read.  The article hit home being this was my first season to race.  I hope this helps you in prep for next season.  It most definitely has for me.

Also… don’t forget to check out all the other radery Not Quite Belgian blog has to offer.  Any blog that incorporates bikes, beers and gear info is ok by me. Cheers!

Bikeminimalism Interviews John Watson

John Watson by Matt Lingo

As a follow-up to the Bikeminimalism Awards, we touched base with some of the winners. First in line is a man who doesn’t need any introduction. We had a virtual beer and a little chat with John. Here’s the full story.”

This is absolutely AMAZING!  Yes John Watson has been a huge contributor to the cycling community since day one, but I’m not talking about that.

You know that feeling you get when a rad blog blows your interview style out of the water… yup.  It’s a mixed emotion of jealousy, grr, love, excitement but most of all that “step yo game up” feeling.

If you want to know how to conduct an amazing interview, Bikeminimalism should be considered the standard.  Such quality and great indepth questions.  It also doesn’t hurt to nab the most famous cycling blogger on the market. Cheers to that.

GREAT work Bikeminimalism!  Thank you for inspiring me personally and sharing this great interview of Mr. Watson.

**Make sure to check out all the other radery over that Bikeminimalism.  Promise you won’t be disappointed.
