VSCO // The Workspace of WELD

Weld

Really good read in the VSCO Journal Features interviewing WELD.  WELD is a creative workspace like non other I’ve every witnessed. If I had to describe it in one word, that word would be… Primo ([pree-moh] Slang. first-class; highly valuable or most essential)!

Go to VSCO and read this.  I promise you won’t be disappointed ya did. OH!!  And they are opening a second location in Nashville, TN! Muy bueno!

Abus Locks // Bordo Lite Review

I’ve been using the Abus Bordo Lite for the last couple weeks.  It has served me very well with its light weight and functionality.

Abus Lock

From grocery gettin to locking up your rides if you travel via motorized vehicle (like I just did down to Florida), it will hook you up. It’s super versatile and easy to use.

Abus Lock1

This lock is great for low to medium theft risk.  If you don’t live in a high bike theft area then the Bordo Lite is the lock for you.  Go to Abus and check out all the spec’s on this sweet foldable lock!

TOPO Review by 50 BUILT

Photo from 50 BUILT

“For the last 3 months the Topo Daypack has served as my vehicle to transport a 15″ laptop, a gaggle of pens/pencils, day planner, and of course my daily meals to keep me from becoming grumpy.” – 50 BUILT

Nice solid Daypack from TOPO.  Go to 50 BUILT to read their review of this American made bag.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.

I love waking up to emails with good quality content attached to share with you fine folks. Mikko from Bikeminimalism was kind enough to spread the love and send this video review of SWRVE’s Milwaukee ES jacket our way.

Make sure to go to Bikeminimalism and check out all the details of this great jacket.  It looks like a good product to pick up for this fall/winter. Cheers!

FOLLY Review // Chrome’s De Haro Windbreaker

De Haro In Le Rain

Chrome’s De Haro Windbreaker is PERFECT for you windy ridin hooligans! The fit is great, style is on point and it is lacking no functionality!  One of the many reasons I keep coming back to Chrome.

IMG_1490

This light weight wind breaking weapon of choice would be incomplete if Chrome’s signature Griffin was missing. This graceful little fella is properly perched for you to thrash in style.

IMG_1491

Not only is it functional as a bomb proof windbreaker, it will help defeat a light rain during your ride. And, as it is a field jacket cut/style, there are army men represented well on the inside tag.

IMG_1487

SAFETY FIRST!  Kinda, never a bad idea to let those asshole drivers know you would prefer to be seen and not ran over. The reflective strip on the end of each sleeve is reversible to be seen and unseen at your choosing.

IMG_1489

Since this is designed for the spring/summer to defeat the wind and light rain, there is a two way zipper that will let the heat out and good times in.  The De Haro has strategically placed vents to assist in this as well.

IMG_1488

And at the end of the day… you may want to throw this sucker in a bag without the hassle of clustering up yer goodie satchel. So, Chrome made a pouch in the back to stuff this sucker in. It also serves as a great compartment for a beer on the go, tools, wallet, picture of your sweet mother, etc.

There you have it friends. The Chrome De Haro Windbreaker is an excellent choice for your wearing pleasure during these windy/rainy days of spring/summer.  I hope you enjoyed my two cents about it.  This jacket will be a standard on any ride/traveling trip I will embark on.

Cheer!!

TRAFIK x YEAH! // True Riders Society

What is up FOLLY folks?! I’m VERY proud to introduce TRAFIK’s collaboration with the international street-wear brand YEAH! With their powers combined, they developed this very rad, very custom tee that has a bunch of other goodies to go along with it.  This one of a kind combo was designed by BONCU, a graf artist and rider out of Indonesia.

The fixed gear culture is in no way limited to the states.  This global fixed gear collaboration is a primary example of it.

“Fixed Gear Culture is a global brotherhood of True Riders.  This limited edition tee shirt is dedicated to the riders who have left it all on the streets, doing what they love.

We ride together

We die together

NO RIDER LEFT BEHIND

This is Global Fixed Gear Culture.” – TRAFIK x YEAH!

TRAFIK x YEAH!

Before I get into the quality of this tee, I want to point out some of the secret logo placements.  When I first got the package from TRAFIK I didn’t really know what to expect other than something I’ve probably never seen before (I was right). So I’m looking over the tee and other goodies, and it wasn’t till I went back to hang it up that I noticed TRAFIK x YEAH!’s logos on each sleeve. I was like DAMN! Those sneaky bastards… I love it!

TRAFIK x YEAH!

Opposite sleeve, opposite logo.

TRAFIK x YEAH!

Being that BONCU is a graffiti artist, I figured he would incorporate some of that style into the font, and that he did. The font that was created for the project is based off ancient Sundanese text. You can see it reads “TRAFIK x YEAH!” on the front & back of the shirt and “LA x BDG” at the top of the skull (BDG is short for Bandung, the city where YEAH! originated).

TRAFIK x YEAH!

“YEAH! is a brand that represents graf art, fixed gear riding, and international youth culture – so we had to work with them!” – TRAFIK

The Ride x Create vibe is alive around the world.  I’d expect nothing less.

Each Limited Edition shirt comes with a printed cardboard label connected by a small chain with the idea behind the “True Riders Society” printed on it; as well as, 2 woven labels proudly showing off TRAFIK x YEAH!

TRAFIK x YEAH!

The detail in this collaboration package is amazing.  Nothing was left out including the envelope it arrives in; it is also custom printed on the front and back. Each package will come with a special TRAFIK x YEAH! vinyl reflective decal, the front skull & helmet design as a sticker, and TRAFIK vinyl bike decals.

OH, and… If you order 2 shirts TRAFIK will include a YEAH! branded canvas carry bag and stickerpack.

The first orders will receive an extra YEAH! stickerpack (while supplies last).

This is a LIMITED EDITION item. TRAFIK only have a certain amount in stock, so when they’re gone, THAT’S IT!

TRAFIK x YEAH Sticker Pack x Packaging

WHEW… That was a lot of great info; so, beyond ALL the radery we just discovered together FOLLY friends…

THIS. TEE. IS. SOO. AMAZINGLY. COMFORTABLE ! ! !

These T’s are 100% pre-shrunk cotton – the quality rivals American Apparel I feel.

I spoke with the guys over at TRAFIK and was head over heals about the quality of the shirt and how it was printed. High quality is really the only way to describe it.

That quality along with TRAFIK x YEAH! collab’n to spread the very rad True Riders Society message is a win/win/win!

SO, what is your next step? Head over to TRAFIK and pick one (or two) up.  I don’t foresee these being available for long. Things on this level of radery never are.

I would also recommend giving a LIKE and a FOLLOW to TRAFIK on FB x TW x IG; as well as YEAH! on FB x TW x IG!
