TOPO Designs // Fleece Jacket Review

48730013The Topo Designs Fleece Jacket has become one of my favorite pieces of winter apparel to date. The fit is immaculate, giving you a snug feel that doesn’t limit mobility when climbing around new unexplored places along your hike or ride.

My pal Travis (pictured) was kind enough to sport the Fleece Jacket as well as holster a few adult beverages in the Topo Field Bag while I snapped away. It was great to soak in our surroundings, sharing a few stories as we hadn’t hung out in a while, and watch the sun fall over some canned refreshments.

Go to Topo Designs and check out more details with this jacket. You can also head over to FOLLYxFILM to check out all of the photos taken on this exploration session.

Vanilla_Soft_Goods_ICNY_T_1“The Speedvagen Money Truck is our cyclocross team vehicle. It is at once intimidating and silly as it rumbles down the road, unicorn shield emblazoned on the massive crash guard. Here we’ve partnered with ICNY, purveyors of all things reflective, to feature it in full 3M reflectivity that lights up super bright in headlights from twilight to dawn, big enough to scare the wits out of oncoming cars. By day it’s a rad looking casual tee for all your around town errands or just hanging out.

Limited Edition of 50!

  • 3M Reflective Sleeve Printing

Showers Pass // Body-Mapped Baselayer Debut

Men's-Body-Mapped-Long-Sleeve-baselayer-no-backgroundWomen's-Body-Mapped-Long-Sleeve-baselayerThese dropped at the right time.

“PORTLAND, Ore. – November 17, 2014 – Showers Pass (www.showerspass.com), the Portland, Ore.-based experts in inclement weather protection, today announces the debut of the company’s Body-Mapped Baselayer – a new product created to complement the company’s popular jackets by working in conjunction with their renowned venting system.

The Showers Pass design team dedicated months to refining the fiber content of its Body-Mapped Baselayer to achieve a mix that weaves the softness of Modal, the form-fitting and stretchable fit of Spandex, the strength and durability of Nylon with the warmth and odor resistance of Merino Wool.  Each component of this custom blend material is proportioned to achieve optimal performance in aerobic outdoor activities.

The Showers Pass Body-Mapped Baselayer is designed to correspond with the ventilation system in the company’s best-selling jacket line.  The Baselayer features a body-mapped knit pattern designed to vent out excess heat in the areas where you tend to sweat the most – an important design point for the active users who are fans of the brand’s outerwear.  Multiple knit patterns are used to achieve the body-mapping without adding additional seams; the torso is seamless to minimize chafing.

“Baselayers are a natural extension of our product line, but it’s a new category for us.  So we wanted to make sure we got it right before bringing it to market.” notes Kyle Ranson, president, Showers Pass. “We surpassed all of our design goals, and are excited to round out our line and offer our customers another well-conceived high performance garment.”

The Showers Pass Body-Mapped Baselayer features a long torso, wide hem, and long sleeves with thumb loops, to accommodate high output outdoor activities such as cycling and running.  They are available in a graphite color in two sizes for both Men (size S/M and L/XL) and Women (size S/M and L/XL), with an SRP of $69.” – Showers Pass

Go to Showers Pass and check out more on these sweet baselayers. There are a few other winter defeating pieces of apparel to oogle at as well. Enjoy.
